Volunteers

If you’re a student studying medicine, dentistry, nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy or any other allied health profession at one of our UK branch universities then you may be eligible to volunteer on a SKIP project.

Volunteering is an amazing experience. SKIP offers the chance for you to make an impact on the lives of some of the poorest and most vulnerable children in world. Spending time on project in the summer will be hard work and activities will be very dependent on what work your branch of SKIP does. Take a look at ‘Our Projects’ to find out what you could be involved with.

However volunteering for SKIP is much more than just going abroad. Throughout the year you will be helping your branch fundraise through various events, street collections and much more. And all the while you’ll get to know like-minded people and have a fantastic time.

SKIP does not charge volunteers to join their projects, but volunteers are required to fund their own travel and living expense when on project. All money raised during the year as a branch goes directly to fund interventions on project

We hope all volunteers enjoy and learn from their experience with SKIP. Our aim is to develop globally and culturally aware healthcare students who can advocate for local and international health progress as future healthcare professionals.

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer for your SKIP branch then contact them directly via email (addresses on specific project pages).
